A number of constituents have contacted me about the very serious issue of people regularly racing their cars along Kenrick Way during the early hours of the morning.
This is a problem that has been occurring for many months and I have already raised it with the local Police Superintendent.
These ‘racers’ are causing local residents a great deal of distress and are acting in an extremely irresponsible and anti-social way. They are a danger to themselves and others with their irresponsible actions.
The Police took action on this issue and reprimanded the perpetrators earlier this year, however, the problem is persisting. I will therefore be engaging with local Police Officers once again to ensure swift action is taken to return peace and order to our communities.
