Like many local dog owners, I was shocked when I realised that dogs aren't allowed to ride on the Midland Metro. The vast majority of rail services let dogs on their trains, so there is no reason for the Midland Metro to be any different.
So, I launched a campaign to let responsible dog owners take their dog on the tram with them.
Thanks to the campaign, the Midlands Metro have introduced a trial of dogs on trams, meaning each customer can take one dog with them, on a lead, onto a Midland Metro service, for three months from 15th August.
My petition is still live, and you can show the strength of feeling for allowing dogs to ride on the Midland Metro by signing it. The more people support the call the better, so please share this with your friends and family.
