Labour-run Sandwell Council are currently asking the public if new houses should be built on our precious green belt and green open spaces. We need to send them a clear message that we won't tolerate them building on our green fields any more!
Sandwell Council's track record is shocking. They want to build on playing fields like at Lion Farm. And they've already proposed building on green spaces in Charlemont, Great Barr and Yew Tree which local Conservatives have opposed.
But now they are asking developers to submit even more sites for development, many of which will be on our green spaces or in the countryside around Great Barr. We have to make it clear that we won't accept this.
Support my campaign to stop any development on green spaces and green belt in Sandwell by signing the petition below.
We also need to make sure as many people as possible respond to Sandwell's consultation making it clear that we won't accept any development on our green spaces.
Please download the comments form available below and respond to Question 7 of the Issues and Options Consultation to say that there should be no development on our green spaces or in our green belt in Sandwell. You can then return the form by email using Sandwell_LocalPlan@sandwell.gov.uk or send it via post to:
Sandwell Local Plan, Planning Policy, Sandwell MBC, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE.
The more people reply to the consultation, the harder it will be to ignore us. Responses have to be sent by Monday 20th March.
Please support my campaign. Together, we can save our green spaces for future generations to enjoy.
