Following the news that large regional employer Jaguar Land Rover were investing £15bn to build new electric vehicles in the West Midlands, Nicola asked a question to the Transport Minister, Jesse Norman MP.
You can watch Nicola's question and the Minister's answer on her Facebook page.
Nicola asked: "It's great news that Jaguar Land Rover will manufacture its first UK made electric car here in the West Midlands, continuing our long history of attracting manufacturing investment from across the world.
"Will the Minister join me in welcoming JLR's £15 billion investment and does he agree with me that this shows that thanks to this Government, we are emerging as a world leader in clean technology, which is good for jobs, good for the economy and good for the environment?"
Jesse Norman MP replied: "I thank the Honourable Lady very much for her question. Of course I was delighted to see JLR's commitment to investing in UK manufacturing and confirming its plans to bring electric vehicle production to the West Midlands.
"Through our policies and investments the Government is accelerating electrification and unlocking investment in order to meet our net zero ambitions and the automotive industry is a vital part of that process. This is a vote confidence from the UK's largest car manufacturer."
