Historical local landmark, The Oak House Museum, is going to receive £125,000 for urgent repairs from Historic England.
The Oak House is one of West Bromwich's best historical landmarks, dating back to 1620. It is now used as a museum exhibiting the rich and varied history of West Bromwich. It will also host a variety of activities and event this Autumn and Winter, including Christmas Crafts, Santa's grotto and carol singing.
Commenting on the funding, Nicola said: "It's great to hear that the Oak House Museum in West Bromwich is getting £125,000 from Historic England to safeguard its future.
"Sadly, the Grade II listed museum has been neglected by Sandwell Council leading it to be put on Historic England's 'At Risk' Register. But this new funding will help with the most urgent repair work to get it back to a condition we can be proud of."
