Parliament sat until the early hours of this morning to pass the landmark Safety of Rwanda Bill, enabling flights to get off the ground and begin resettling asylum seekers in Rwanda.
The Safety of Rwanda Bill was the only plan before Parliament that took illegal immigration seriously, helping to deter migrants risking their lives by crossing The Channel, aided by criminal gangs who are exploiting migrants.
Despite claims they care about reducing illegal immigration, Labour once again voted against the Bill at every opportunity to block the Conservatives' plan to tackle illegal immigration.
Commenting, Nicola said: "Parliament sat into the early hours of this morning to pass the legislation we need to crack down on illegal boat crossings. I supported this Bill because I know how important it is that we tackle illegal immigration.
However, Labour did everything they could to block our attempts to stop illegal immigration yet again. Clearly showing they can't be trusted with our border security."
