People tell me that they are worried about crime. So, I'll fight to get our fair share of the new 20,000 Police Officers that will be delivered before the end of the Parliament. And I'll make sure that they don't all go to Birmingham. I'll continue to work with the West Midlands Police to make sure that people feel safe again.
People want to see more bobbies on the street again. That's why I'm campaigning for seven day per week, on-foot police patrols in West Bromwich town centre to combat crime and anti-social behaviour, so our town is more welcoming and attracts even more visitors.
But it's not just about the town centre. From burglaries in Great Barr to car crime on the Yew Tree estate, more needs to be done to tackle crime. By getting more Police officers on the ground in the communities, we can begin to end the free reign that criminals think they have in our communities.
